People are so obsessed with being PC that it causes any debate to fall into idiocy now. A personal example from my stint in the army:

A soldier with a drinking problem (laugh now if you were in the armed forces) who got ripped and attacked myself & another with a knife went unpunnished and my friend was given an artical 15 for saying "That crazy Mexican tried to kill me" when we reported it to the MP station. When I inquired why PFC Perez was never even brought in, I was told I would be charged with inciting racial discord if I pressed the issue any further.

Turns out, he was the only Latin soldier on the post to get put in for an ARCOM (low level smiley face type medal) in over a year and taking it away would have caused problems since a complaint had been made about that situation. Never mind I had a knife wound and 16 stitches to my argument.

Where are we going if we throw-out reason and fairness for the APPEARANCE of these things?

To "La Indi" below:

I will note here that my "white" friend was black, that I didn't called the indavidual "Mexican" (actually Dominnican as it turned out) and as to the "Lazy White Man" remark: I have had MY WAGES reduced from $15 to $10/hour because of illegal workers being hired and BTW: None of them do ****.

You discrace your people (humans) by screaming racism and then practicing it. YOU ARE THE ONLY ONE throwing racial epitaphs about here, my "friend".

Isn't it odd how it is that if you call a Mexican a Mexican you get charged with racism? Isn't it odd how it is that if you demand border security to keep a flood of illegal Mexican immigrants from streaming into the country you get called a racist? Isn't it odd that a meat packing company in North Carolina just a couple of days ago was called "racist" because it sent in the Social Security numbers of all its employees in for verification (and ultimately fired 50)?

Isn't it odd indeed? You cannot say anything bad about a jew without being called "antiSemitic". Now you cannot say anything about an illegal Mexican criminal immigrant without being called "racist". Yes, things have gone way to far to one end. It is time for sensible patriotic Americans to clobber those who would shout us down with epithets and slurs. Stand up and fight back is what I say.

Things like this, that's not what PC was for. In fact, it's one of the now many annoying points to PC.

Racial suppression must not be made a defense when the violator is guilty.

You know I truly apologize for that Mexican-Americans behavior . And I hope your wounds are healed . And they should have reprimanded him for it regardless of the laziness of a white man . oops !! Did I say that out loud . You know us Mexicans. That's why you should have referred to him by he's rank not he's race, duh!!!!
