try the rice creal first...I also have a 6 month old baby girl and we just started introducing the cereal to her. She actually doesnt like it too much, so I tried mixing it with flavored pedialite. I think it helped because she actually swallows it now. The texture is still different to them, so dont expect her to swallow it at first. After you do that for a few days and see no allergic reaction, try some vegies...then a few days later the fruit. Either way you just want to introduce one at a time so you know if they have an allergic reaction...have fun!

Not sure if you mean food to start with or brand. Depending on liking of food for your baby the first to start with is a rice cereal mixed with breast milk or formula. I would start with this in the beginning for awhile. The next to try is sweet potatoes or winter squash. These are generally easy to digest foods at this age. I am a mother and this is what I had started my children with. With first child I made all of the food after the second I bought earths best organic food which is just as great!

There is a book called "Super Baby Food" by Ruth Yaron. It tells you in detail how to go about introducing solids to your little one. Even if you don't want to make your own baby food the way she suggests, you can use the info in there as a really good guideline for when to introduce which foods, how much, how often and what the consistency should be like.
p.s. making your own baby food is really cheap and easy, much easier than it sounds and way cheaper than the jarred stuff.

toddler nutrients isn't nasty.i have tasted all of it - I mean hi you childrens not gonna commence out with salt & pepper & butter. The fruit tastes similar to well-known. Its no diverse than clean mashed carrots or sweet potato. except you do not recognize any more effective & upload butter or milk which isn't ok. attempt including it with formula or breast milk. commence out with a touch oatmeal and slowly develop the quantity over some days until eventually she is used to it. Then upload some toddler nutrients purees. at the starting up i might want to upload bananas, pears, or peaches. a touch bit with a lot of cereal and formula. Then slowly decrease the formula and oatmeal to get them familiar with the nutrients.

First and foremost is breast milk, but if that's not an option then formula. Then you can give them Iron Fortified Cereal & Other Grain Products; Vegetables; and Fruits. I have enclosed a link to the "Feeding and Nutrition Guide: Introducing Solid Foods: on my website http://ca.geocities.com/__geri/FeedingAndNutritionGuide.xls
It's very helpful :)

1.Breastmilk
2.Organic - compare ingredients to regular baby food. Sometimes they are the same. If theres lots of additives, don't buy it.
If you can:
3.Pureed fresh & cooked veggies w/ water or juice
Youll know whats in it.
Good luck!

Human Breast milk, or fresh goats milk. Fresh goats milk is much less likely to cause gas/digestive upset than either formula or cows milk.
edited to add:
A woman used to live down the stgreet from me who owned 10 or so milk goats. She would sell the milk to hospitals in this and surrounding cities for 9 bux a gallon. They fed it to the babies in the hospitals.
