No, but we buy them food and clothes. We'll take inventory and go to a Salvation Army and McDonalds, raid their stock, and give them to people on the streets.

I have in the past, but I don't anymore. It's not because I don't care about homeless or needy people. It's just that most of the people who we see here are just running a scam. They work in teams, and are there everyday around the holidays only. One day this guy was out at the store asking for help, and I asked him if I could help him,he had a bandage on his arm and a bracelet from the hospital said he had got bitten by a spider and needed only 19 dollars for his medicine,so I gave him 20 dollars, and I saw him like 3 days later, telling the same story and said he just got out of the hospital that day.So even though this is a long answer that is why I don't do it,but I would buy them something to eat if they were hungry,or if they said they wanted money for beer or if they just said they were to lazy to work I would give them money.Honesty goes a long way with me.

I have given food. There was this man in a town near by that would do that very thing and one day was caught getting in to a nice truck at the end of the day. Come to find out, he didn't work a real job although capable and was very well off because of the scam he was running. I don't mind helping the hungry by giving them food, but money, no sorry.

No i wont give money to panhandlers. There was a spy camera set up in the heart of Sydney (australia) last year to video tape these panhandlers and found that half of them werent even poor. If i donate money i make it out to a charity, that way i know my money is going to the needy.

I would give them food. I usually don't give money to able-bodied people. Usually those who don't have limbs or perform a good show/song then I will give them some money.

Otherwise, if you have working hands and feet, you should put some effort into cleaning up because there are agencies who will help you.

unfortunately my guard immediately goes up, and i'm suspicious....too many whack jobs have ruined my faith in humanity. i do donate to food pantries and other legit organizations, but too often "panhandlers" have ruined it for the truly needy.....

I do not give money to many wineo's here where I live. I usually go to a restaraunt and buy a value meal and take it to them.
