The clear retainers do work, however, you will still have redness around the area and it will ocasionally crust over a little. If you can explain those 2 things to your parents without raising suspicion I say go for it!

Not sure how old you are, but I don't think it's going to work! Why are they opposed? Have you already had a discussion and they out and out said absolutely not?
Nose piercings are probably one of the least in terms of problems. My 15 yr old daughter has a number of piercings (all with my knowledge and permission) and she hasn't had any problem with this one. Once it did get a bit bent and had to be re-inserted at the salon where it was done, but that's all.
Tongue piercings I can understand a parent being opposed to--this is one I do not want my daughter to have--but the nose piercing isn't, in my mind, a big deal. I mean, it is fairly common even among women in their 20s and 30s.
Talk to your parents, see what objections they have. Listen to them. Hopefully they will also listen to you.
Then maybe reach a compromise of some sort: either way, it makes sense not to do it behind their backs. If you do that, any trust they currently have in you could be jeopardized.

How old are you? You can't get your nose pierced on your own legally if you are below the age of 18. Well, this is assuming you're going to a place that is licensed to do this type of piercing. Going to a place that will do a piercing regardless isn't a good idea because they probably won't follow cleaning procedures properly. My suggestion would be to talk to your parents before getting the piercing so you can make sure everything will work out.

there's no way to hide it. the way i dealt with my parents and piercings is i would just get them and wait until they noticed, or just show it to them like "hey guess what!?!? look!" once its in there it cant be taken out (waaaay painful because of swelling) unless u go back to the place u got it done, because it will be a stainless steel hoop. the clear retainers work just fine, but u wont be able to use them until ur piercing is healed fully. good luck!
PS. it doesn't hurt THAT BAD like people say it does. its only if u try to take it out before its healed well enough. i tried that and my hoop got stuck half way in half way out! =\
