That sounds perfect! As long as it doesn't interfere with his breastmilk or formula intake. At 6 months old I fed my daughter the cereal twice a day too. The general guideline for feeding cereal to a 6 month old is to start with 1 to 3 tsp once a day and gradually increase to two feedings a day of 2/5 tbsp each. I have enclosed a link to the "Feeding and Nutrition Guide: Introducing Solid Foods" on my website, it's very helpful :)

It depends on when you started feeding your baby solid foods. I'd stick to twice a day until you introduce fruits/veggies and other foods. Once the baby can eat more types of food, 3 times a day plus nursing/formula would work better.

When my son was that age I gave him cereal in the morning and at night-usually only 2 times a day.I did start him on baby fruits and veggies around 7 months too.

If he takes it readily and also taking formula or breast milk, then it is probably OK. I think it would be alright for you to mix it up as well. Mix in some fruits and try him on some veges. The main purpose of feeding solids at this time is to get your baby used to new textures, tastes and manipulating foods in his mouth. His primary nutrition should still come from formula or breast milk.

only like each and every being pregnant is diverse so is each and every lady's journey with breastfeeding. as long as your toddler isn't screaming for nutrition and is having quite some moist diapers then he's getting plenty and you haven't any longer any concerns. in case you initiate getting worried till now you initiate supplementing with formula take him in for a rapid weight/height length. i assumed at approximately 4 weeks my daughter wasn't getting sufficient when you consider that she by surprise began waking up and desirous to nurse each and every of the time day and night. She had a WIC appointment some days after that began and the little imp had won only over a pound and grew 3/4 of an inch in only below 2 weeks! Your physique will supply plenty as long as you supply toddler the prospect to call for greater milk.

not at all. take cues from your child. If he's not throwing up from overeating your fine. i started my son on Cereal at 2 months (doctors orders for his acid reflux disease) by 6 months he was eating solids. Of corse now he's 3 1/2 46 inches tall and weighs 47 pounds. i think I've raised a giant. You're doing just fine. Just watch your son and he'll tell you if your overfeeding him :0)

I think that's fine. I would also add in some veggies and then some fruits too. As long as formula or breastmilk is his primary food until he's 1yo, then you should be fine. My son is 5.5 months old and eats breastmilk and cereal for breakfast, bm, fruit, and veggie for lunch, bm, fruit, and veggie for dinner, and bm before bedtime. And he's only 14pounds 5 oz, so he's definitely not overfed.

At 6 months, milk is his main source of nutrition - so, as long as he is still having plenty of milk, then it is fine for him to be having the extra solids if he is enjoying them! This site - http://www.homemade-baby-food-recipes.com/how-much-should-my-baby-be-eating.html shows that there is no set amount for a baby to eat - and how, as long as he is gaining weight normally, the amount he eats should depend on how much he actually wants.
