Life partnering issues should not be like Shopping at Walmart.. Just hunting around for the best person in bed, if you dont like them, return them and find another.. If there was no pre marital affairs, then there would not be the idea of "the grass is always greener on the other side". Partners would not know what they "think" they are missing, they'd only know the "one" they are with and not be tempted to look for another.. In todays society especially western society, Marriage is not sacred any longer. divorce rates in US alone are at 60%.. Think about it.. Its like shopping.. If you dont like your spouce, nevermind working on the marriage, just toss em out, and find new.. Where is the effort, the communication, working towards a great partnership/marriage.. The children suffer, the family suffers, the community suffers, and inevitably the whole country will suffer, which is what we are seeing now.. Goodluck! USA,, you need it

affairs, I think, usually refer to sexual liasons where one or both of the people involved is/are married.

Those I can't unreccommend too highly. I regret and am ashamed of the ones I've had. It ain't worth it, makes you feel cheap and lousy, as you should anytime you let impulses override any innate decency you might have.

If you are just talking about banging other unmarried people before you get married, well, doesn't really matter whether it's a good thing or not, because the vast majority of people are not going to be virgins on their wedding night, no matter what they are told. But I do agree with one other respondent that people don't take marriage seriously enough, and pre-marital promiscuity does contribute heavily to the formation of attitudes that eventually wreck a lot of marriages. When the going gets tough they just seek comfort in the sack with somebody else, and don't give much of a damn who gets hurt by their doing so.

I've done it and it's been done to me. Like I said. It ain't worth it.

A college surveyed women and men about sex. 98% of the men said they were getting lucky on a regular basis on campus. 2% of the women said they were. Either the guys weren't being truthful, or 2 women on campus were having a hell of a good time. The moral of the story is "If women shouldn't have pre-marital affairs, neither should men".

There is no justification for that. If you want to say that, then it'd HAVE to be "PEOPLE shouldn't have pre-marital affairs." Even then, why the f*ck can't we? There are people who can't even get married, and there are people who don't WANT to get married... EVER. We believe in having fun. Life's too short to be tied down to someone. No hetero suicide pact for me...

Marriage was invented when people only lived to be thirty years old. I am 33 and I don't feel the need to marry and have children.. I am a good, hard working woman and I am very happy. Sex is a human need and I still need to be in love to have it. I see no fault in this.

Times are very different. This view is no longer realistic in today's world.

Nice answer Mintee! It's a culture thing though. It's like opening pandoras box. Once it becomes acceptable, there is no turning back. It wont be just the USA who sees the problem. All nations and cultures will see the affects.

It will be just another form of adultery, as you are in a relationsjip with someone. So it is wrong. If your partner finds out about it, it will be as if you had an affair while in a marriage.

women are equally as horny as men, and have only one twentieth the effort to have sex. What would you do?
