i am so confused as to when to actually take a hpt and have the correct answer. I have seen tests that say 4 days before your expected period and then i've heard people say that 2wks to 2 mths is the best time. does anybody really know??? I am 4 days late and having mild cramping and freq. urination but took a test this morning a came back neg. Help!!!

Well i took 2 pregnancy tests 7 full days before my period was even due and both were positive and yea i was pregnant. The brand of the tests that i used were Answer & Clearblue easy. The answer test was very bold when it turned positive right away but the clearblue easy one was positive but with a real faint line.
I didn't even use first morning urine even though they say you should.
Just don't drink alot before taking the test (about 3 hrs prior)
You can test 19 days from the day you think you bacame pregnant and get an accurate result.

i took one the day after i was due negative i took one a week after i was due positive the doctors wee test negative repeat test positive seriosly to be sure go get a blood test the can detect it from a day late

everyone I know- who actually was pregnant- took the test any time, ASAP, just couldnt wait for "first pee of the day" or "4 days b4" and it IMMEDIATLY came up pos. DID NOT have to wait 10 minutes.
