In fact, what you describe would not be a stolen base attempt. A steal is credited to a runner when he advances a base without the aid of a hit, putout, error, fielder's choice, balk, passed ball, wild pitch, hit batsman, or walk.

You know you could,if the other team is dumb enough not to appeal, the run would score,or if the other team messes up the appeal.In Baseball you have to appeal for an out in the proper manner or the appeal will be denied

No - you still have to tag up after the ball is caught. There isn't any exception that says "unless you make it home."

Yes, you can.
If appealed at 3B for leaving early though, you would be called out!
This meaning; It is not an "automatic out." Were you to do that, the defense would still have to "put you out." If they fail to make an appeal before the next legal, or illegal pitch, your run would count. Not a good idea to try it though!
