The easiest way to answer this sort of question is by getting the prime factorization of each number -- That is, what prime numbers multiply to that number (for each of the two)?

16 = 2x2x2x2
27 = 3x3x3

They do not share any factors, except 1, which divides into anything.

Therefore, 1 is your answer.
