There is some difference of opinion on this. Wikipedia states that anytime after the All Star Break in Baseball is fine, but many other sources claim that after the spring equinox is ideal. Not even the etiquette books can agree; Emily Post wrote that you could not wear the belt before Lincoln's Birthday and shouldn't wait past Washington's Birthday. Now that we have President's Day, that would probably be the way to go. Miss Manners says that it's acceptable to begin hanging the mistletoe in January on MLK Day. If you follow her advice, which is what I do, you get a whole extra month of trolling for a kiss. Good luck.
