I'm travelling to Chicago with some friends in early January, and I'm desperate to get reservations for an Oprah Show taping!! I've been trying the ticket line daily (until my fingers hurt) without any luck. Also, does anyone know if there will even be tapings during the week of January 1-5 or would Oprah still be on holidays? Thank you for any tips/secrets you might have!

It is EXTREMELY difficult to get through to the Oprah Show. All you can do is keep trying. There are multitudes of things to do in Chicago. Museums, shopping, galleries, tours. It's all online. Have fun in the city. I love it there.

don't know if oprah tapes during holidays. i think it goes on hiatus for the holidays and the summer. it is really hard to get tickets and usually all out for the entire season right when they start giving it out. you can always stalk her at her condo near navy pier..i think she still has a place there. other than that, your best chance is to either wait outside in the cold at the studio to get a glimpse of her, or write a very very sad letter to her and she'll bring you on the show by being a guest. good luck~!

She started her Talk Show in Chicago. She tapes there as a tribute to the city. She calls California Home.

Do a search on Ebay for Oprah tickets. Who knows. someone might be selling some.

We went last summer and loved it! Check out these websites for information on stuff to do! You'll want to find INSIDE stuff because I guess it's really COLD there in the winter!! Take boots!

Get on her website Oprah.com and you can email them for last minute requests, but I would check soon and ask them about reserving for the date you specified since bookings are rampant since she's so popular.
