The state will still give you child support, his account will just build up till it becomes over 10 grand, at which time it will be classified as a misdemeanor and the state will go looking for him and have him extradited and thrown in the clink for non payment of support.
You say he is in Civil Service? then you can find him easily, all you have to do is write to the state of NY department of Civil Service and tell them his name, ssn and send a copy of the judgment of child support, if he works for them they will just start garnishing his pay...LOL
Also if he has paid any bills electrical, telephone or utilities then his name becomes a matter of public record and is available to you.
Go to this website http://www.intellius.com and fill out the necessary two lines of information, and it will pop up as available his address, phone number etc. To get this information you have to pay a fee of about 19 dollars, its an electronic transaction so you can have the information in a few minutes.
Go get him girl !!!

Oklahoma has a place they Child Support Division here. I know as I have used it before in the passed and it worked for me. It don't matter where he is at, they will find him. If you have a recent picture of him that will help. But I think they also want to know where he is or where he is working if possible. It cost me $25.00 to get mine started and that was back in 96 or something like that. Sorry I have just tried to get that part of my life out of my mind totally. But no really just get in touch with them and see what they tell you. I got all my money from him and then the interest on top of that in the end. By the way, welcome to my home state, Oklahoma! We are good people here, most of us are anyway. Good luck.

Unfortunately running away doesn't change the laws of child support. The laws will always be there, it's better to pay now than later. He could be paying support forever, running away won't make the problem go away. Get your order and keep it in force.

Why would you still run after the guy when in fact you see how irresponsible he is. Would you like your child to grow up seeing that type of father? You could always support your child by own own or there will always be your friends and family whom you could seek help or advice.

keep the court order in forced, and if you have to go to social service for help and he will have to repay that back to them, and at the end of the year IRS will hold his tax refund for child support and send it to you.

You're entitled to support no matter how far apart you two live. The courts will help you track him down.
