I have to go to the DR tomorrow afternoon b/c I have been so hungry, thirsty, itchy and exhausted for the last week. I just haven't "been with it" but I haven't really felt sick. I am worried what they will say. I am also worried about having to have a blood test, I am terrified of needles and have to get one tomorrow. Help me please. I need some comforting and good advice. What should I expect.

Relax. With those symptoms it could be nothing other than a cold, poor diet, or something more serious like diabetes. You need to have it checked. All of which can be treated. If you wait you could become very ill. Go the doctor will help and the blood test will be over quick. Tell the the that you are terrified of needles and they will be extra gentle. Hope this helps

Just remember that the anticipation of stuff like that is always worse than the actual event. I get nervous every time I go to the doctor, and once I get in there and they're doing their thing, it's a piece of cake. So just remember that your fear is just in your head, and is a natural human emotion. You'll be fine once you're with the doctor. Just embrace the fear rather than letting the fear itself become an additional source of anxiety for you.

When they go to take blood from you, close your eyes. If you don't see the needle go in or the blood come out it will hurt less. It's hard not be be stressed when you are facing something that is that scary for you. Good luck.

Doctors are actually really cool, if you just pay attention to somthing else or try to make small talk with who ever is doing the test they everything should be fine. Good Luck

I have never watched anyone put a needle in my arm. Just turn your head, it really is only a pinch, but i just don't look.

It'll be alright. Trust me.

One time I broke my finger and had to get stitches, But it wasn't that bad. Everything will turn out fine. Believe me.
