I think I'm having Display problems on my laptop computer seeing how whenever I choose a screen resolution that is smaller than 1024X769, such as 800X600 or something, the laptops screen gets smaller but doesn't actually fit itself into the screen, there is a big black border. Anyway, I would manually resize it but I don't know how seeing how it is a laptop with no buttons on the monitor. So, I figure I need to install an up to date display driver. I have a dell Inspiron 1150. I went to the Driver's page, which I believe is here.. http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/devices.aspx?c=us&cs=04&l=en&s=bsd&SystemID=INS_PNT_P4_1150&os=WW1&osl=EN#
Although, there are a hundred different display drivers available for download!!!!!!!! How do I know which one I need to install??? Thanks for your help in advance.

I know the monitor supports a resolutions under 1024X768 because at one time it did! Now for some reason my original driver just stopped working or something.

The drivers listed in "Display" are not video drivers, they are external monitor drivers. The laptop screen is not an external monitor. The only driver you need is listed under "Video Adapter" and you'll probably have the 855.

I have a old dell with me let see if you change your screen smaller and you see alot of big borders try hitting Fn then F7(Font) there should be a small word that says font on the F7 key hope that helps.

if you chose a screen size smaller than 1023 x 769 and it shows a black border, that just means 1024 x769 IS the right resolution! you don't need another driver! i have a laptop and the resolution of mine is 1024 x 800 or something like that.

there's a good chance that your monitor only supports 1024x768. sucks, but i think you can live.
