The best treatment for bunions is surgery im affraid, and the surgery works very well.Ive seen many patients come in with very bad bunions and in alo off pain.once theve had surgery the bunion is complety removed and pain free, well thats about 12 wks after surgery. You would also have to go in to a plaster cast which we call a below the knee toe spiker, the big toe is also surrounded by padding and plaster. You are normally in this cast for about 6-8wks,then sometimes physio but not always. This is the best option i think, bunions do not go away they get worse.Good Luck

You can't get rid of them without surgery but you can certainly do things to improve the discomfort of them and prevent them worsening. Firstly wear suitable footwear. Make sure it is wide enough at the toebox and try and avoid heeled shoes. It would also be worth seeing a podiatrist for some orthotics as these can correct your foot function and help prevent it worsening. They will also identify any problems with your foot function and may need to recommend some stretches.

A true bunion is a problem with the toe JOINT, so no, you can't. But as far as I know, a surgeon will not fix it unless it is a certain size (angle) or larger, and the insurance company will only pay for it if if truly causes pain and dysfunction with your walking and standing.

You should see a podiatrist about getting some arch supports. If your bunion isn't major, the arch supports should help. Good Luck =)

there are little medicated pads that you apply to the bunions and it will remove it.a foot doctor will give you good advice on how to take care of your feet.
