I would think after Thanksgiving, but the myx is already playing it, and I actually enjoy listening to it at work everyday. It puts you in the mood. Christmas and Halloween are my favorite times of the year.

I think that the day after Thanksgiving is when Christmas season should start. I understand the stores needing to get stuff on the shelves and so on. But radio stations don't need to be playing the music earlier than Thanksgiving. I think people would get in the "spirit" of Christmas and enjoy the season more if it didn't feel so darn long. I've been hearing and seeing Christmas stuff since Halloween.
Yes, we put our lights up before Thanksgiving. They are not turned on until the day after Thanksgiving. And we don't listen to Christmas music or watch Christmas movies until then either.
One holiday at a time please!

I've been listening to an all-Christmas music station online out of NC off and on for a few weeks. But where I live, they don't start playing anything like that till the day after Thanksgiving, and even then it's only a couple songs a day. But they increase as it gets closer to Christmas.
I think it's in the eye (ear) of the beholder because you can't please everyone. Then again, I can listen to Christmas music anytime and not get tired of it.

Started here 24/7 on November 1st - on one station. I e-mailed them and said I would never listen to them again.
There shouldn't be 24/7 holiday music until at least the day after Thanksgiving. Even then a random song once in a while is better then all the time. When I was a kid the 24/7 music was only for 24 hours.

It's still a week until Thanksgiving, and one of the local radio stations is already playing Christmas songs 24/7.

Right now is too early for Christmas music. Christmas is overrunned by commericalism. Decorations, music, sales are too early in the game. I think radios should start playing holiday music starting Christmas eve.

I just can't seem to get into the Christmas spirit before Thanksgiving, sometimes not even till it snows. They always try to stretch out the season as long as they can. I suppose the longer the shopping season is, the more money people will spend.

This year not just the music but the decorations started in September.
I live in a tropical country, and you should see the snowmen, the reindeer and the "I'm dreaming of a white Christmas" everywhere.
It freaks me out! And every year it begins earlier, so I'm freaked out longer.
December was fine. Any other month it's too early.

It is not playing here, but they keep playing THanksgiving songs. It is rather weird that they are already playing christmas songs. However, strores have had Christams displays since Halloween. Go Figure. I guess nobody cares about Turkey Day anymore, unless you don't live in the U.S.
