I have never known my dad he left when i was 2 but i rang him a few years back and he didnt sound to happy to meet me i always think of him but i cant find him he lives in adelaide and i have looked in white pages i dont think im old enough to go and find him in family law courts! im 17

I cant find my dad he left when iwas 2 mum thinks that hes in adelaide but i dont like bringing up the matter to her cause she always bags him she doenst know anyting about him im to young to go to some were big to find him im 17

Yes you are old enough. I feel bad cause i know how you feel. But at least your dad talked to you. My dad denies me. Call a lawyer for some better advice they can help you. Most dads that leave while their children are very young feel kinda regretful seeing them again due to the fact they know they have done wrong and that they have hurt a loved one. I'm very sorry to hear that he didn't sound happy. Just keep trying and maybe he will come around and finally take you into his arms as a real dad should. I feel bad for you, I have grown up all my life with two dads who are married, but are not gay. I have always been bullied for it but now that I know there is a tool in the world without a dad, it makes me feel better.
