Knowledge and well-formulated opinions. When someone is trying to explain something to me I am more likely to believe them if they know what they are talking about and can back it up. If I want to know the answer to something I generally research it myself.

Knowledge.

The more I learn about myself, about the world, about other people, about what possibilities are out there, the more I alter my way of thinking.

I think the best way to think is to be completely open minded. Otherwise, you could miss out on the coolest, most eye-opening stuff.

I put myself in another person's shoes. I concede that there are other points which while I may not agree with them I can see their argument or concerns.
