it depends on the tanning bed you're using. if you're using the lotions, it doesnt do anything except give you a really uneven tan. go to Atlantic Tanning and ask them about the "titanium bed" it uses the safest rays instead of the UV rays in other typical ones. the titanium bed is by far the safest. i had veryy pale skin until i used it and it works the fastest! make sure u dont go too much a week, it could leave a rely bad itching rash if u go to soon

Wow I'll say they are bad for you. Especially when it rains, and you have orange and white stripes all down your legs.
