whether game or movie (they have movies, right?) I like music along the lines of .hack//SIGN (by Yuki Kajiura) and the dramatic opera music in Final Fantasy 7 Advent Children. Not so much the girl-rock-band stuff from Final Fantasy X-2, though ^_^ (unless you think the one you're gonna say is exceptionally good). Piano music as well.

Well i think the best ff music is 10, 6, and thats about it oh and the anime FF Unlimited. I like the piano music and the oprea that was sang in the ff6 and terra's theme, 10 has the emo songs they are nice...=D

I'll go with Final Fantasy 7. It had some of the more accessible musical scores.

Final Fantasy VIII, and not just the theme song "Eyes On Me", also the other music in it! When I listen to it, I kind of feel nostalgic. I don't know if it is just me~^-^; I have the same nostalgic feeling when I listen to Legend of Mana soundtrack(that one is also good! and also by Square^-^) Next to VIII.. hmm.. X.

Final Fantasy VIII and Final Fantasy X have the best music.

I think 7, but the new FF has Angela Aki's "Kiss me good-bye", which I think is amazing.
