They will play better in time under Coach Stevens because he will bring them together as best they can be. Since Hitch is gone, the bad blood that existed in the pre-season will be able to dry up and blow away. But, even as a Flyers fan, I'm not getting my hopes up for the next several seasons. The first reason is that Ed Snider is still calling the shots, the second reason is that the team is still all Clarke's players. Forsberg and a host of decent young players is all the team has going for it. The only way we can expect a Stanley Cup championship is a TRUE change. That's why.....

SNIDER MUST GO !!!!!

Short answer, no.

By the end of the season, Forsberg will be traded. The rest of the team is either aging scorers with declining production or 3rd and 4th line forwards. Their defense is big, slow and untradable.

This team will take five years to get back to some semblance of a team that can challenge for the Cup.

Not anytime soon. The team needs some major changes before it can get any better.
