How do I mod on Halo 2?

I have seen the videos of other people modding on halo 2 and it looks awesome!Please someone tell me how I mod the easiest,quickest, and less computer envolved way.I cant wait to get my virtual hands on those massive guns.

2 ways.

1st meathod: this one's much easier but you can do far less. you get an action replay and download the mods and plug em into your xbox.

2nd meathod: you buy an 80 dollar modchip, rip apart your xbox, solder the mod chip onto the mother board (there are now solderless installation sets i believe) find all the programs you need ( a bios, a dashboard, the mod programs, an ftp client for your computer,) and you set to moving game files off of your xbox, onto your computer, modifying them in computer with special programs, moving them back correctly and booting the game. not an easy thing to do, also if you buy a modchip you aren't going to do it just for the halo modding you're probably gonna want to buy a larger harddrive, and use programs like DVD2XBOX to rip games or Xbox media center.

if you mod an xbox there is a great program for halo 1 modding called the Halo Cache Editor (HCE). i'm not going to go into detail on it here but it's pretty much idiotproof.

all console modding takes some time and work. i would suggest looking into modchips and finding modding tutorials off of google or finding a tutorial on how to use the AR


(note: the ar you can only do things that are downloadable, with a hard mod i've made scarabs a playable vehicle in the game w/ some skinning work and i've made a bright pink civilian warthog with spinners... needless to say that takes some work but a hard mod is capable of much much more)
