Why do we use mapquest to help us get to our next destination? Because without a map or business plan we don't know where we are going and if we are on track for success or even failure. Failure is a given without a plan. That is a certainty and a fact. Ask any entrepenuer that has failed enough times to actually acheive their goal. Hope that helps.

To set up realistic goals and projections. Having a plan helps keep you focused and realistic in your expectations. Usually it's a document prepared by a company's management, detailing the past, present, and future of the company, and is often designed to attract capital investment.

To make sure we make money rather than burn money. To go into business with no plan is like going camping with no gear (ie tent, food etc)
