i started taking Paxil after i had my daughter(1999)have been on & off of all kinds of antidepressants since.i use to have a good sex life & now that i'm with the man of my dreams i thought it wuld be great,but it's not him it's me & now i'm reading that Effexor culd be the reason for all of this.how can i enjoy my sex life & still take my pills?is that even possible?god i hope so.

Those anti-depressants can really affect libido and ability to achieve orgasm. Your doctor may be able to add a small dose of wellbutrin to help that side effect. I don't think it will necessarily affect your chance of getting pregnant though.

im on efexor and it has trashed my sexual appitite but sofar its worked the best for controlling pannic attacks so i think the sacrifice is worth it for the itme being but if you dont feel that way speal to you doctor about it

Try wellbutrin sr 150mg. It has helped me tremendously and my sex life has never been better.

It won't prevent you from getting pregnant. But it does have a few adverse reactions, one of them is sexual dysfunction meaning that it might keep you from having your big "O".
