i am currently a 3d animation student and i want to get a new monitor for my computer. my computer is a dell and i have a dell 19 inch monitor (i know this computer isnt the best for animation but its what i have right not and it gets it done). i am looking to get a second monitor so i can have dual monitors on my computer. i was thinking of getting a 19 inch flat screen but not sure what make and model to get. i was wondering if anyone had any suggestions or websites to help me decide. also woudl i need to buy any extra parts to hook up a second monitor to my computer.

SInce you are an Animation student, I would recommend a UltraSharp monitor. Shows better than the Analog Monitors.

By the way, Dell is the top rated Ultrasharp Monitor (in both the 17" and 19" LCDs).

make sure your video card drivers support up to two screens. I don't know of a good screen, sorry
