I am Healthy and quite Wealthy. I live with a lovely Lady and two beautiful dogs in my nice house in Thailand. Go walkies on a Sunny nearby beach every morning with the dogs. Food and drink are very inexpensive. I have a good car, and well, everything I need for a happy Life.....but, grateful as I am, for all this, I sometimes wonder if I am missing out on something. What do you think?

Find a hobby or pastime that you are passionate about and throw yourself into it completely. Something that you can commit your time to, that will drive you, make you wake up everyday running!

Try charity, like maybe giving a couple thousand of those dollars to a needy person, like me. LOL ----- NO SERIOUSLY, I understand about missing out on something. Other than financially, my life is truly blessed by God, and actually even financially I guess I have been blessed. I have a roof over my head, even if it is a little leaky. LOL ---- I have all the food I need. I have clean clothes. I have 2 beautiful children and a wonderful husband, but when I really start feeling sorry for myself, I just look to God and pray about it. A peace of sorts comes over me. It's really hard to explain. I'm not a Bible beater, but I do know the feeling of peace that God gives me when I feel I might be missing something. All I have to do is ask, and I receive.

I think it is human to feel like we are missing something when we appear to have everything. Material wealth and appearances aren't enough though. I think it is just as important to have a strong sense of spiritality about yourself. I am not necessarily talking about religion; but an understand of who you are and if you are happy with yourself. Maybe donating time to a local charity, joining a church, or simply making an effort to help a fellow neighbor may help boost your spirit and make you feel more complete. Money cannot buy happiness...inner beauty and peace is very important. We are responsible for our own...but its a beautiful thing once it is achieved!

Are you unhappy or just not contented with your life? It seems alright from what you have said, its what you havent said. Do you love your lovely lady? Do you ever do something out of the ordinary for a bit of excitment? Sometimes when youve setteled into a routine life can become a bit repetative, monotonus even. Do something youve never done before at the weekend, take your lady aswell.

I understand completely!!!!

Sometimes I wonder what I'm here for.....I have everything-most important...healthy children, a husband that doesn't beat me up, a home and food on the table, friends and family........

I DON'T DESERVE IT!!

BUT....

You may be suffering from depression....go see your doctor, who will give you advice on overcoming your feelings of worthlessness...but you have to talk about it...

Are you happy in your relationship?

This could be why you feel that you're missing out on what your single mates are getting up to, or you're missing out on future acquaintances that you have sacrificed for the sake of a your present partner!!!

Talk....and it will be clear to why you feel like this!!

Good luck and we all deserve happiness:o)

I am SURE that you have too much time on your hands and that is a serious problem... I would suggest STRONGLY that you get yourself involved in volunteer work at something that you like and that you would be HAPPY and SATISFYING when you are doing volunteer work.. particularly workilng with kids, etc.. I know that if you put your mind AND HEART to it, you will find more peace in your life

May I suggest you and your lady friend move into my tiny flat and live my miserable life whilst I experience yours. After a few years I could more accurately answer your question:-)

You seem to be living a life that many would love to have, but material things, do not happiness make. I believe that happiness is found in ones spirituality.

Happiness comes from within...

Just focus on life's simple pleasures, as they pass by, through out your day!
