Some anti-spyware program do come with their own spyware.

By using any free program on the Net, there is a chance that they might contain some spyware.
If they have an ad on them each time you start them, it is spyware. Any form of advertising is spyware.

The best and only anti-spyware you should use is Spybot. And it is Free.

Perhaps, or maybe that spyware program is a resource hog meaning it takes up a lot of your systems memory. You could try switching antispyware programs. Spybot from www.safer-networking.org or Windows Defender from www.microsoft.com are both fine programs that don't take up much memory. God Bless.

There is a lot of badly programmed software floating around nowadays. A lot of these programs often, in my opinion, cause more problems than the spyware itself. Many of these programs use incredibly insane amounts of system memory, which is slowing down your computer. What anti-spyware progam is it?

The first thing I would try is Microsoft Windows Defender. This is a free tool from Microsoft and I find it highly effective. You can find it here...

If this doesn't do the trick for you, then there are other tools that you will have to pay some small amount for that may work for you. All of these have free trial versions available. So you can download and test before you buy.

Here is a list.

Surely something here can help you. Good luck!

I use four active scan anty spywares with no noticeable decrease in performance. Anyway watch out for phony companies and programs – latest trend, malwares posing as security companies and programs.

My programs:

AdAware
Window Defender
SpywareGuard
SywareBluster

Try downloading WinPatrol which is a free ware and check your start registery. You may have software running there that is pulling the system down at startup. Not all anti-spywares need to run at startup.
