here is a conundrum.....what am I missing.
5 measurements (ie. countertops)
29" x 47", 29" x 28", 29" x 71", 26" x 67", 24" x 66" - when I add all the numbers together, divide by 12" I get the feet multiply L x W = 265 square feet.....
and yet, when I divide each section by 12", multiply LxW, I get approx. 60 square feet.....
what the heck??

1 Meeter =39 inches
12 inches = 1 feet
1 squarer feet =12in X12in
so 1 square feet How many square inches? that is 12in X12in =144 inches
if u measure length and width in inches of room square feet = Length X width /144(here 144 is constant value )
if one room 4 meter length and 3 meter width how many square feet that room?
it is easy to calculate
we know 1 meter = 39 inches , so length is 4 meter that is 4X39in=156 in
we got total length is 156 inches
width = 3X39in= 117 inches
so width 117 inched
square feet = length X Width/144
here Square feet = 156in X117 in /144= 126square feet
so total romm is 126 square feet
