Many teen girls have irregular periods and this is normal due to many factors (stress, hormones..). Your body is still adjusting to being a woman.
Your period usually adjusts by the end of your teens (about 18).

Mine were very irregular during my teens. I had my first at 13, then skipped a year. After that I would skip months. I skipped a year at 16. Back every month at 17, etc. It's frustrating, I know. (It got worse during my 20's but that's OT for your question.)

If your period is still acting up when you're 18, go and see a Gyn for advice. It could mean you have a hormonal imbalance.

i had the same thing. it stayed that way until i was 18 and started taking the pill. and 13 years, and a set of twins later, i am still not regular unless i am on birth control.
you should probably tell your mom and get her to take you to the gyno. there could possibly be something wrong, but more than likely it is just the way your body is, and it may or may not change further down the line.

It's normal for you to have irregular periods. Sometimes birth control pills can help to regulate them. Go to the doctor if you feel you want to.

no hun that is perfectly normal, the first 3-5 years your body is still going through alot of changes, so sometimes that will happen. that happend to me when i first started my period too, when i was younger. but dont worry. everything will be okay and im sure that you will be ontime soon just give it another year or two. sometimes if you are under alot of stress, that will delay your periods also but with the information u posted that seems normal.
Good luck hun and i hope i helped

If they're skipping two months in a row that could be a problem. If you are very thin or very athletic that could be the reason why. I don't think its a big deal, but you should ask the next time you see your doctor.

it's normal. since i had my period its been irregular. it will take me about around 40 plus days up to 58 days interval, so i wouldn't really know when to have my period. it became regular while i'm on the pill (every 28 days exactly)but when i stopped it, i returned to being irregular. by the way i'm already 26.

I'm 34 and I have never been normal. It's a hormonal type thing. Don't worry about it, just let your doctor know about it next visit. The only real problem with it is that it makes it more difficult to get pregnant.

First I would see a doctor about your periods for a full physical checkup. Diet and stress play a big part with your periods. It is possible they may not be regular yet.

No Worries...I did that a lot too. I know that your mom is not going to be thrilled about this but I got on birth control to regulate me. Not for sex purposes! I would go like a month and not have one but when I did it would hurt so bad. Maybe talk to your mom or someone you trust about the situtation and see what they think.

No, my daughter was the same way. She started when she was twelve and it didn't regulate until this year and she will be seventeen in 3 months. It can take a few years before it regulates.
