I also get an error sometimes when I open "my computer." It says windows explorer has encountered an error and needs to close (or firefox has ...). When I view the details on the error report it has something to do with a temp file but when I go to get rid of it in the temp file I have actually seen the file disappear. ALSO sometimes something comes up about "Dr. Watson Postmortem Debugger." Is this a virus? It is all really frustrating ... when I can't save a big group of pictures and such to my computer without having to reopen firefox a million times. I'd appreciate any help you can give!

when you chose to save the file you get a browse window to specify where to save the file.
because you are probably viewing the folders with "tumbnail" option , when the explorer try to show you the files tumbnails ... it gets error (probably some media files presented into the saving fiolder produce this error).
try to move or delete all files from the folder you are seeing when access the browse window and this shoul solve your problem
