I haven't seen it yet. I have heard it might be inappropriate for her but I am not sure. What do you think?

Thanks for all of your help. Due to the majority of the answers opinion is to take her to happy feet instead and see borat alone that is what I will do. If it wasn't for all of you I think I could have made a mistake. Thanks.

Probably not really. Apart from anything else, the humour will probably go over her head and she won't enjoy it at all.

It's very inappropriate for a 6 yr old. Most adults were even offended by it. It's rated R for a reason and alot of people feel that even that is not strong enough of a rating.
A 6 yr old has no business watching an R rated film in the first place. If you read the fine print on the rating system, R rated films are inappropriate for anyone under 17.

I would sooner let them watch Deuce Bigalow Male Gigolo, or somethingwith Adam Sandler in it than Borat.
But Borat is funny.

I would not take a 6 year old girl. Most +40 did not think it was appropriate for public viewing.

I agree with everyone else. I saw it and it's hilarious but I'm an adult. She is a child and will not enjoy it and there is a lot of cussing; exposing that to a child at such a young age is not good for her. Take her to Happy Feet! She would laugh and it is just one of those feel good movies for a child.

I think you should "chance it".
I saw "Billy Jack",the rape scene and all when I was six
and I have no history whatsoever of violence( either emotional nor physical toward women.
Let's face it,Most of the innuendo will go straight over your child's head.Borat has no violence,It's mostly
post pubescent young adult humor.
And one day,When they are able to reflect back
they will take a renewed interest in that "weird" movie "Borat " that they saw as children & it will be good.
I think the movie is harmless and if anything teaches us to lighten up a bit in this short time we have on Earth.

I see you have already settled on a decent movie for her.
LOOK at the Movie Ratings..they only work if you use them
If you stick with them you'll never expose her to something that will harm her.

NO! A lot of it may be over their head but there is some nudity and inappropriate things, language, etc.
