Did you like his books? Such as Fight Club or Choke? If so, what about it did you like? What didn't you like. Anything helps. Thanks!

I loved Choke and Lullaby was pretty good too. I can't really explain what I like about him. There's a kind of understatement and disattachment about his writing, similar to Bret Easton Ellis.

I really liked Fight Club, I liked the way modern life was characterized as "single serving", clever for sure.

At a talk he gave at the University of Georgia he said a teacher once told him that he wasn't a good writer but that he was "one hell of a storyteller". I think that sums up how I feel about him, too.

The subject matter in his books is unique, for sure, but he's a lukewarm writer and extremely mediocre. Overrated! Still, not as bad as a lot of other trendy writers.

He's not for all tastes. His work is very graphic, and occasionally disturbing. However, he's the kind of guy that can really get into your head. He can make you question things that you may have previously accepted. Scary, weird, and FUN.
