Castle. It is not as yeasty as Lion and I feel it it far smoother and sweeter than Lion.
They did a whole market revamp for Lion about 7 years ago.
I didnt drink beer then so I cant say if the "new" Lion tastes better or worse than the "classic" Lion.

Ofcourse you still get Lion!!! If I don't miss it it's got a blue label and Lion is written in silver.

Anyway, I must confess I never tasted Lion, but I do love a nice cold Amstel draught.

Castle is second on my list, Hansa third, and Black Label fourth.

Have you ever tried a mix of Castle Milkstout and Redds? (I used to promote Castle Milkstout as a student, I didn't like it clean, but I mixed it with Redds so you still taste the beer, but it's got that sweet fruity taste with it, o o o yummy!!!)

Lion as you remember it is off the market in South Africa. Although i must say Castle was always the best.

I prefer castle draft - it's a good bitter lager

Hansa is a bit lighter but still quaffable

Lion in the new silver and blue cans looks too trendy to take seriously. It's also too sweet for my tastebuds.

If I am short of cash I'll drink Black label because it has the higher alc content.

The windhoek beers are too gassy.
