it was the right decision!! Robert's alright, but I think there is quite a big market that would buy Eton Road's records. Simon know's the score, at the end of the day he knows what will sell and what won't and he made a decision that in his opinion, will benefit the show.

i think it was the right decision. I really liked robert but i dont think that there is as big a market for him as there is for eton road at the moment. I know that they havent always been great on the show so far but when they get it right they are really good and different from the normal boy band.

So based on the bottom 2 i agree with simons decision. However... the mcdonald bros should have been in the bottom 2 and they should have been the ones to go. So i blame scotland for roberts departure and not simon!!

I am absolutely apalled at Simon Cowell for sending Robert home from the X Factor. He made the wrong decision and has turned the competition into a farce as far as I am concerned.

Before the two acts in the bottom two sang again for the judges, Simon Cowell (who had the casting vote) said that he was going to make his judgement solely on who gave the better performance in the eliminator. He then flew in the face of that and sent Robert home in spite of the fact that he had given a faultless performance. Eton Road on the other hand made a mess of their's by missing their entries in the middle.

It was a glaring mistake and I am absolutely amazed that Simon Cowell completely missed it. You could see from Louis Walsh's face that HE had seen it and was virtually resigning himself to the likelihood that he was going to be down to one act next week. If Simon Cowell had remained true to his word, he should have sent Eton Road home.

I don't rate Eton Road at all. I think they are a bunch of individuals who do not complement each other in the way the members of a singing group should. Most of their performances have been an absolute mess, and it should be remembered that they are only in the final stages of the competition because the group who were originally chosen ahead of them had broken the competition rules and lied to the organisers when they were already under contract to somebody else.

I had Robert marked down as a dark horse in the competition who had the potential to reach the final, and the only reason I can find for Simon Cowell voting the way he did is that he felt that Robert was more of a threat to his remaining acts, Ray and Leona, than Eton Road are.

I can't believe it either, but simon made a tactical vote. It was wrong, he should have sent off the boy band. I can't believe the two guy bands are still in it. I personally want leona to win, if she doesnt there is something seriously wrong with people, or its fixed. I'd like the guy with the deep husky rock voice to be second. I would have put robert third. That Louie guy is a right twit and sharon a prat. Simon is the only one who can spot talent, but the judges are always playing political games, too much ego going on.

Robert is really good. I don't know why he went. I think the MacDonald Brothers thing has been going on for too long now, they should go!

He deserved to go, and there is talk that the show was rigged because his girlfriend is due to have their baby this week, and he needed to be with her, not on the X-Factor.
