Click START then CONTROL PANEL then ADD OR REMOVE PROGRAMS then click on the program you want to remove and click ADD/REMOVE, leave it till its removed (this may take a while depending how big the program is and also how fast your computer is) then try restarting your computer for the changes to take effect and this should do it.

If you have a lot of programmes then the list will take a long time to populate, I suggest you leave the PC for a while and wait for the list to fully upload.

Other methods -

If it is a programme on your start menu , it will normally come with a uninstall option.

Access your C (or relevant drive) and delete the programmes component folders manually.

You may need to put your PC into "safe mode", I suggest you only do this if you are very able with a PC, as it can lead to system errors. It can be reached by an option on a start up of your PC. You can then enter admin mode to remove a whole list of selected programmes. This should be a last resort.

My Computer, Add or Remove Programs, then select what you want to remove. Sorry if you have already tried this!

try using the uninstall in the program itself if there is one. Otherwise, try opening the program from the 'programs' folder on the main drive, right click the folder, and choose delete.

You could try a third party freeware to remove a program. Try www.majorgeeks.com to find an appropriate freeware.

try click - Start - All programs - then the program you want - (example - Quicktime) - once the mouse arrow points over it- this should open another window - in there you should see "uninstall (program name)"
