No need to remove stump/grinding, etc. Just take the tree down, haul away.

It depends on the location of the tree. Is it close to the house? Near a playground? Over a sidewalk? Etc.

If the tree is located away from obstacles and can be felled from the ground the price will be much cheaper.

If the tree needs to be climbed and removed piece by piece the price goes up quickly.

Companies charge by the hour, anywhere ranging from $50-$80 per person depending on local factors. They will typically charge drive time to the job also.

There are lots of ways to get rid of an unwanted tree. Thirty feet is NOT a large tree, but depending upon whether it is out in the open or up close to a house would make a huge difference.
I would expect that in AL one should NOT have a big problem finding someone with a chain saw and a pickup truck which would be the cheapest way. However, if there is danger from overhead power lines, or near a building or other structure which you are concerned about, then perhaps you should look in the phone book under Tree Surgeons or Arborist.
Warning: each year many people are injured using chain saws. They are very effective tools, but like most power tools, they require a great deal of care and respect!

Not sure. But I know there's something called a phone, and they have this big book called the 'Yellow Pages' - I think you can call and get estimates from tree removal or landscaping companies. Maybe that would work?
