Also when I try to use the speed dail numbers, it shows that the call is going through but I can't hear it ring and then it looses the connection. When I first got the phone it worked great. Over the last month I am having more and more issues with it. I have a 2 year contract can I get another phone as Wal-Mart no longer carries the model I have?

How long have you had the phone? If it's less than a year old, take it to the store (I would go to the actual Alltel store and not Wal-Mart) and see if it's something that would be covered under the warranty.

Even if it's over a year old, the techs in the store may be able to tweak something...
