The Houson Astros and the Texas Rangers are going to play a best two-out-of-three exhibition game series. What is the probability that the series will end in two games????

you guys i really don't get it, please help me i know this is an elementary problem but :( Help.

That the Astros win the first game being 50-50 and the second game being the same chance means the astros have a one in four chance of winning 2 games to none. The Rangers have a one in 4 chance too. And thats half of the chances So the probability that the series will end in two games is 50%

it's 1 in 2.

whoever wins the first game, then the series will end in two games if the same team wins again, so it's a 50-50.

In theory, I'd say it would be 1 out of 3.
