Hes a top 5 talent offensively probably. theres at least 10 pitchers i would rather have then him. And he isnt exactly known for being the ultimate team player. his numbers are outstanding but numbers dont mean everything, look at A-Rod. yes he is good but not 20 million a year in my opinion.

I agree. Being a Nationals fan, I hope that Washington will do what it takes to keep Soriano here for many years. He is one of those players that you can build a team around. I loved watching Soriano play this year and hopefully he will remain where he belongs, in Washington DC!!!

The thing I remember about him is the way he sulked when he was asked to play the outfield. The Cubs will regret paying him this much money for so many years. After all, he is a career .280 hitter. What would you have to pay Micky Mantle if he was alive and in his prime?

Soriano is definately worth it. He is consistant and is coming off a great season. He'll improve the Cubs's chances of making the playoffs.

he is high up but he's behind Pujols A-Rod Beltran Carpenter Howard and many closers and other starting pitchers
