Call the police. A blocked driveway is an emergency hazard. The guilty party will learn quickly to park his idiot car correctly.

In England the problem is only resolvable in Police law if the the blocker is illegally parking. Then as often as not nothing happens.

Civil legal action and civil dialogue may be possible.

I get it all the time. Most of the time the people forget or are too stupid to realise they are actually doing the blocking. A sign can help.

One question pops to mind - how is this related to computer security? Perhaps a different section is better suited to this question.
As far as your problem is concerned it is against the law to block a public or private driveway. First course of action is to speak to the offender, if this fails then speak to your local police and to the council transport department. I had a similar problem many years ago which was resolved by my asking, and getting the council painting yellow lines in front of my driveway. You'll probably need to keep a diary of all the times it happens.

If they are keeping you from getting out call the police! If you want to be nice about it and it's the first time leave a note on the windshield or approach them when they come out and ask them not to park in your driveway, if they give you lip walk away and call the police! Good Luck!

None really. No-one can block a driveway if there is a car in the drive but you can block the drive if the drive is empty, in theory though people shouldn't park on or opposite dropped kirbs and it is just common decently not to block the driveways of other people

Ive had this problem and theres not a lot you can do other than to phone the police and they will book them.
If they are acctually parking IN your drive, then the police can do nothing apparently because its private property and it is up to you to move them.

Call the cops as it is illegal to block someone's driveway. They will get a ticket everytime that they are caught doing it.

Get a ice pick and start popping tires. They will soon get the hint. This works very well for me.

First; ask them to move it so you can get in and out and if they refuse then call the police. Don't get into an argument with them, tho, it's not worth it.

Hope that helps.

park them in and don't move not matter what... it's illegal, they are technically trespassing. i live in a town house and friends of my neighbors parked in my spot twice, i parked them in both times and they've never parked there since. if that doesn't work, ask them to move and if they do no then call the police.
