I know that there is some people who have it much worse, but that doesn't help me at all. I feel the the same way. I am never happy and I keep on switching jobs,(and it's not that I am just unhappy about my job, but I guess that's the only thing that gives me a temporary relief) that make me end up worse.
I have recently been doing a lot of thinking, well I have been thinking for years, but finally I have come to the conclusion that if I try to do something that I really enjoy doing, maybe I'll feel a bit more fulfilled....ot at l least I will have tried.

Good luck :)

Try accepting the fact that you have no reason to feel the way you do. You are a very lucky girl you have a family and a comfortable life, don`t look around at what others have, that doesn`t help at all. Perhaps you feel that other people have things you would like, but would you I wonder? I think you have most things that you want. Could you perhaps be bored? ( I know you have plenty to do with your family to look after etc.) So do you think you need an `outside` interest to occupy your mind and time? This should get you out and about so you will stop thinking about material things.

There are times when we all feel that way, but then things in life will remind us of how much more we have than alot of other people. One day at work a woman called in to place an order for a mattress pad for her bed because she had trouble sleeping due to an operation she had from having cancer. She then went on to tell me about having to take care of her Mother at the same time that was diagnosed with Alztymers! I wont go into all her other problems, but by the time I was done taking her order, I realized how much in life we take for granted everyday! So many of us are lucky enough to have our health, and a family that cares about us, and I thought even though Im not rich as some people, I felt so blessed with all I had after that phone call, and wished others did not have to go through all the terrible hardships that they have to face, and here we are so very lucky, and we dont even appreciate it untill we dont have it. I think sometimes God trys to tell us, that things COULD be WORSE!!

give it up, leaving no chance of getting it back then you will think: "sh*t, i wish i was happy with what i had because now i am less happy with what i haven't"

just like that woman said in that song "you don't know what you've got 'til it's gone"
