Cereal Bugs

2016-11-14 04:10:22 · answer #1 · answered by ? 4 · 0 0

Yes, the ammount of insect parts in the flour used for cereal is actually regulated and may not surpass a set ammount amount. Weevils (grain and rice weevils) usually being the culprit. But a number of other insects may be found in ceral, especially if the package is open.

There are bugs in everything we eat. There are limits to just how many bug parts can be in food (only enough as to not make us sick). No food, boxed or canned is completely pure of bug parts...it is just a fact of life. More protein for us!!

You don't REALLY want to know.
It's not IF there are bugs but HOW MANY bugs. They are in the grain and get ground up into the flour.
