I'm going to University of North Carolina in Wilmington next year. What is fun to do in that town? If you live there or have ever visited, did/do you like it? Population? Average weather? Are Hurricanes a big threat? I bascially wanna know anything you can tell me.

I grew up about 45 minutes from Wilmington. It is a nice college town, there are beaches, golf, other recreational activities. It has a nice climate. I'm sure that you get all four seasons. Most of the NC coast is very humid in the summer time, but its not too bad. Hurricanes are a threat, but not any more in Wilmington than anywhere else on the east coast. It is a nice sized town, not too small, not too big. I think they have a minor-league soccer team down there if you're into that. Its about 2 and a half hours from Raleigh, the closest "big city."

I lived 40 min from wilmington for approx 6 years. Loved it. All sorts of fun stuff to do. beach...bars...golf...etc. population is maybe 75-100k. avg temp is prolly 60s...40s in the winter, 90s in the summer. Hurricanes arent a big deal...usually. ;) have a blast!

I think Atlanta because it's bigger. You know who has an absolute TON of recording studios including one owned by Timbaland? Virginia Beach, Virginia.
