It depends upon what a person expects from a car. The car I have enjoyed driving the most is my present one, an Audi TT 163 roadster but I suspect my yellow Ford Puma was the best all round performer. I do not race around but it provides me with everything I want. Its fast enough for road use, corners well and is comfortable to drive. It looks great and, indeed, throughout my life I have enjoyed cars which look interesting. Many of the cars I have driven have been so much fun, an Austin Healey Sprite in 1962, MG Midget in 1966, MGB Roadster in 1970, a Lancia Fulvia in 1974, a mid engined Fiat 2 seater, late 70's, a Lancia Trevi 2000 in the early 80's, Lancia 2000 supercharged coupe in the 80's, Fiat Delta 1600 Turbo in the 80's, two Ford Puma's in the late 90's and early this century, MG TF 135 in 2002 and now my TT. All were fun to drive but depreciation is questionable and many of the early Italian cars suffered from rust. In between I bought numerous cars for family use. Even cars like my Fiat Croma 2000, Citroen BX GT, Fiat Weekend, Delta 1600 GT, Citroen Zantia TB, a progression of 5 Audi A4 TD's are all cars I have enjoyed driving.

I still have my first car, a 1960 Mercedes Benz 220 SEb. It is still running great. It has more miles than I care to count, looks and drives like new.
Back in 1993 I bought a Nissan 300Zx Twin Turbo, Great sports car, never did any maintenance on it, and I have never seen another sports car as reliable as this one.
Recently I bought a Mercedes Benz E 55 AMG. Great car.

I think Peugeots are great, I know they have their problems with electrics but I have had 3 505 estates and they are the most versatile car you can get ,shame they dont make em anymore. 8 seats chuck all the kids in the back, fold down the 2 rows of rear seats to create an enormous load area equivalent to a transit van, well almost. I now have a 306 2 litre HDI (diesel) 60 mpg goes like a rocket.

My fave was a Ford Cortina Mk2 1969 model. It was falling apart but kept on going. The drivers door was faulty and I couldn't open it from the outside so I had to leave the window down, but when I turned a corner it would fly open and I got into a habit of leaning out with the door and pulling it shut when I got around the corner. It was so funny, the car had character.
The BEST car I've owned is the one I'm driving now, a Holden Vectra. Everything works the way it's supposed too and it drives beautifully.

Mine was a 1990 V12 XJS Jaguar. It did have some typical Jag problems and was expensive to feed it gas but it was a lot of fun to drive and show off.Now I'm looking for a good X type or XJ6. It also had 123.000 miles on it and for a 90 thats low millage.

Has to be my present one - a '97 Discovery 300tdi Aviemore. Comfortable, roomy, reliable, economical very easy and pleasant to drive. Neither my wife or myself have been what you would call car fans, but this car has changed our minds. 125,000 trouble free, safe miles.
