how is the concept of electron density used to describe the position of an electron int eh quantum mechanical treatment of an atom?

Since you can not say exactly where an electron is at any one second,( because it is moving at the speed of light) it is better to show their location by an electron cloud with energy levels where the electrons could be expected to be.The electron density would be highest at the energy level where they were most likely to be by probability.
