What??
Oh.
When doing a search in a computer, wildcards may be used. An asterisk * may be any number of letters or numbers, a ? is only one unknown.
You may remember a picture named ju......xxx and not remember any of the other letters/numbers or the file type, so your search could be "ju*.*"
Or, if you knew it was jun or jul.jpg the search could be "ju?.jpg"
It is just a placeholder in the search, but it helps to narrow things down a little.

In algebraic chess notation, "?" denotes a bad move, and "??" a blunder.
In computing, the question mark is often utilized as a wildcard character - a symbol that can be used to substitute for any other character or characters in a string. In particular "?" is used as a substitute for any one character as opposed to the asterisk, "*", which can be used as a substitute for zero or more characters in a string.

No. No that I'm aware of. There isn't any other meaning for the question mark (?) unless you are using it in chat to singularly express confusion and that you don't understand what the other person is saying.

I believe some people use "?" as the unkown in an equation.
