I think if you put salt in water and electrisize it you can see salt react but dont trust me.

You must be thinking of when sodium is put into water. It is stored under oil because it reacts with air and water. In water it gives off hydrogen gas and frms sodium hydroxide or lye. Hydrogen gas is explosive too.

when in aqueous acid (most vigorous), or even just water...I've seen plenty of beakers blown apart with the reaction with sodium and just water
