Try signing up at a country club, because they usually have pros there that teach. If you don't want to spend that much money with enrollment, try hiring local tennis coaches from looking in a phone book.

What i do is this: i usually try to stretch as far as i can, just to prevent sprain and get to the ball easier, and if your toss is not too good, practice that... occasionally i go for a jog and just come back when i start to feel tired
