aaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.......i HATE spideys. They FREAK me out. I get SOOOO paranoid whenever I see one. I think they are everywhere!!! I dream that they are on my pillows!!
I always get my bf to kill them, so if you are alone, i feel for you.
Just be prepared to go in for the kill. Make sure you kill em with a big shoe. make sure they are squished all the way before you take the shoe off or else it will run on the floor and up your pants!!!!!!!

Go to a store like Home Depot and get foggers that you can put in a closed room to kill the spiders. Be sure and follow directions, and remove pets, plants, and cover any fish tanks. They work well, and it beats the heck out of having to spray them one at a time.

Go to your local hardware store and get some spider spray. It really does work, especially if you use it regularly--like once a month. And it doesn't take a whole lot of spray. I get the spray in a big gallon jug that comes with a little hose and sprayer end on it.

Look for cobwebs. Knock them down. Get some Spray from the store that specifically states Spider spray. Then spray away. I hate those creatures. I use two different kinds of spray. I use Hotshot (no odor) and liquid Sevin spray.

I know it's mean but I hate and am scared of spiders too, vacum clean them, throw water on them to get it to move or spray it with chemicals

GET A FOGGER! Cover up food products after cleaning up a bit. Set fogger and go shopping for 3-4hours. Air out.
Works for mice as well.

My goodness, how many spiders could you have there? I agree with the vacuuming idea or spray them. I personally don't like to kill them and when I have tried to encourage them to go out the front door peacefully they wouldn't go so it was kill them.

Shotgun ---guys I knew did that to a squirell in a house,they missed though and finally after much yelling and hopping around one of them dropped a piece of plywood on the poor creature,there he was gone.True story.Ps, its hard on the finish work,the shotgun that is.

Bug sprays are good, as well as bug bombs you set off while you are gone. Just be careful you dont breathe the fumes.

A scatter gun works pretty good.
A new boyfriend is your only other option.
