He was on Meet the Press this morning. He sounded thoughtful. He was not a raving lunatic speaking party double-talk. He was direct and stated his concerns for middle-class Americans. I was highly impressed with his middle of the road stance. He was more concerned with the many than with the few. I feel he will do our country good not just Virginia. I'm actually starting to feel like some newly elected officials may be the real key to changing America's direction. Maybe we are heading towards a more moderate approach to politics. As a nation we are too polarized, we need more voices of reason in Washington. I for one will be looking forward to hearing more from him.

James Webb wants to change the course in Iraq, not necessarily withdraw right away (James Webb's son is in Iraq). He also wants a comprehensive reform in domestic issues, to lower the cost of living for everyone.

It seems probable that he will be good for Virginia and good or the country. He seems intelligent, courageous, serious, and well qualified. I was impressed that he refused to participate in irrelevant discussions about his opponent for political advantage.

At least he does not seem to be a racist like his predecessor (who called a man of color a monkey).
